Grace period for IRP card renewals extended to 12 weeks

The Department of Justice, Home Affairs and Migration has extended the grace period for IRP card holders from 8 to 12 weeks. Where an individual’s IRP card has expired and they have applied to renew their permission before the date of expiry, they may continue to work on the basis of their expired IRP card for 12 weeks.
