Domestic Violence Leave – Employer guidelines and template policy now available
Following the introduction of domestic violence leave in the Work Life Balance and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, employees affected by domestic violence will now be able to avail of up to five days of paid leave over a period of 12 months from November 27th, 2023.

Bill introducing Pay Related Jobseekers Benefit system signed into law
The Social Welfare (Miscellaneous Provisions) Bill 2024 was signed into law by President Higgins on 15 July. Once commenced, the legislation will introduce a new Pay-Related Jobseeker’s Benefit system enabling people who lose their jobs to be entitled to a higher level of welfare payment.
