No decision yet as to whether statutory sick leave days will increase in 2025
Despite a number of recent media reports that the Government has confirmed that it will not increase the number of statutory sick leave days in 2025, the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment (DETE) has confirmed that, as of date, no decision has been made.

Female statistician at semi state advisory service awarded 40000 in pay equality case at WRC
Along with the €40,000 award, the Workplace Relations Commission also ordered the organisation to pay the female statistician arrears since 2017. This is likely to amount to close to €100,00 based on figures provided by the employee to the WRC.
