Ibec experts to gather in Donegal as part of its Employment Law Regional Series

May 17, 2023

Ibec, the group that represents Irish business, is hosting an employment law event in Donegal for businesses in the region to keep pace with the ever-increasing regulation of the employment relationship.

Speaking about the event, Nichola Harkin, Ibec Head of Employment Law said: “Last year was an exceptionally busy year for employment law and this year is the same, and we are only in the second quarter. We have seen legislation introduced on statutory sick leave, work life balance, whistleblowing, probation and contracts of employment. In the coming years, we will likely see further legislation in the areas of pensions and retirement age, pay transparency, platform workers, adequate minimum wage and telework.

“It is, therefore, a challenge for business leaders and HR practitioners to keep pace with the increasing regulation of the employment relationship.”

At this year’s Regional Employment Law Seminar, Ibec’s employment law solicitors will provide attendees with the most recent employment law updates and give businesses the practical guidance needed to navigate forthcoming employment law requirements facing businesses in the region.
