Pay Transparency in the EU

The Pay Transparency Directive was adopted in June 2023 and will require employers across the EU to either implement for the first-time gender pay gap reporting or where gender pay gap reporting is already in existence, the Directive aims to expand the scope of those requirements. As part of an EU initiative aimed at strengthening the principal of equal pay for equal work between men and women the Directive is due to be transposed into Irish law on or before the 6th of June 2026.

Ibec briefing on the Windsor Framework and UK Target Operating Model

In October 2023, changes will be introduced for trade in goods between Britain and the island of Ireland.

From 1 October 2023, the UK Government will begin to introduce new rules for movements of goods from Britain to Northern Ireland following agreement on revisions to the operation of the Protocol on Ireland / Northern Ireland with the European Commission under the Windsor Framework.

From 31 October, the UK Government will begin to introduce import controls on movements of goods into Britain from the EU, including Ireland, under its Border Target Operating Model (TOM). 

This webinar will provide Ibec members with information on the Windsor Framework and UK Target Operating Model with presentations from speakers from relevant Government departments agencies, including the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment; Department of Foreign Affairs; and the Revenue Commissioners.
