National Minimum Wage increases to €14.15 per hour from January 1, 2026

From January 1, 2026, Ireland's National Minimum Wage will increase by €0.65 to €14.15 per hour for workers aged 20 and over, as confirmed in Budget 2026, following recommendations from the Low Pay Commission.

My Future Fund and minimum standards for Occupational Pensions may need a combined 3.5% contribution to remain exempt employment

The Department of Social Protection is due to introduce new regulations which will place an immediate obligation on employers to ensure a minimum aggregate contribution of at least 3.5% of gross salary for employees in occupational pensions in order for them to be considered exempt from auto enrolment.
