Audiovisual Ireland welcomes Budget 2024 increase in Section 481 film tax credit cap

Audiovisual Ireland, the Ibec representative group for the screen industry (animation, film and television production, postproduction and VFX, television broadcasters, cable and other service providers, and screen content studios), welcomed today’s Budget announcement of an increase in the Section 481 film tax credit cap from €70 million to €125 million.

Financial Services Ireland welcomes new CBI Individual Accountability Framework Standards and Guidance

Financial Services Ireland (FSI), the Ibec group representing the financial services sector, welcomes the publication today of the new Individual Accountability Framework (IAF) Standards and Guidance by the Central Bank of Ireland. At the FSI annual dinner this evening, where Minister for Finance, Michael McGrath T.D., is the keynote speaker, FSI will welcome the decision by the Central Bank to introduce a regulatory sandbox and will call on the Government to establish a dedicated Fintech hub.

CSO data shows strong growth in delivery of new homes

Data published today from the Central Statistics Office (CSO) show that 29,851 new homes were built in 2022, an increase of 45.2% when compared with 2021, exceeding the Housing for All target of 24,600 homes for the year.
