Data Protection Commissioner publishes 2024 Annual Report
On 19 June 2025, the Data Protection Commission (DPC) published its 2024 Annual Report. The DPC is the national independent authority who are responsible for protecting the rights of individuals in the EU to have their personal data protected. The DPC supervises the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and they also have functions and powers related to other important regulatory framework including the Irish ePrivacy Regulations (2011) and the Law Enforcement Directive.
