Ibec HR Leadership Summit 2020 - Creating a new vision for work

Themed ‘Creating a new vision for work’ the Ibec HR Leadership Summit 2020 took place on October 22nd.

The event took place virtually for the first time this year, on a platform that allowed delegates to engage with peers and expert speakers, network and visit a virtual exhibition from the comfort of their own desk

This year’s line of speakers examined whether, amidst the disruption caused by the global pandemic to workplaces, this disruption could present more of an opportunity than a challenge as businesses re-imagine the future, restructure and reskill the workforce and ultimately reboot the economy.

Looking ahead as NPHET recommendations welcomed

In his latest update to Ibec members, CEO Danny McCoy welcomes the recommendations from NPHET that the majority of Covid-19 public health restrictions can be safely lifted. This will mark an important next step towards recovery for many industries, including the Experience Economy which bore much of the burden of previous restrictions. In addition, he reflects on the role that business will continue to play in tackling gender-based violence and in addressing its root causes in gender inequality, supporting a cultural change in how we discuss women, men and gender. Finally, he looks ahead to next week's launch of a major new campaign from Ibec.
