Depending on the category of employee the training needs and requirements should be identified . Suitable and qualified training providers should provide the training and record the syllabus /content / results and feedback from the training provided. Training records should be held appropriately. Under section 8: General Duties of Employers, Section 9 : Information for employees and Section 10: Instruction, Training and Supervision for employees of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work 2005 Act, employers must: Provide appropriate safety instruction, training, and supervision. Deliver training in a form, manner, and language that employees can understand. Ensure employees receive required training without loss of earnings. Ensure training takes account of employee’s capabilities. Provide appropriate training when employees start work, change tasks, or when new equipment/technology is introduced. Maintain training records.
