EU agrees plan to boost rights of app based gig economy workers
The European Parliament and EU member states this month (13 December) reached agreement on the Platform Work Directive and rules to strengthen conditions for those working through apps including delivery riders and cab drivers. The Directive was first was first proposed by the Commission in December 2021.
