WRC finds security ERO sick pay less favourable than SSP for worker
A Workplace Relations Commission adjudicator has ordered that a security guard be paid €220 for two missed shifts. The decision came after the adjudicator found that the guard should have received statutory sick pay, as it offered better terms to the employee concerned at that point in time, than the sick pay rules outlined in the security industry's sectoral bargaining order.
