Cross Sectoral Networks

Our cross sectoral networks are open to new members from all sectors and trade associations in Ibec.

Facilities Managers

Audience: For members whose role within their company involves facility management.

Overview: The Facilities Managers Network is a cross sectoral network for members whose role within their company involves facility management. Facility managers from all sectors of industry attend the meeting including representatives from tech, food, MedTech, office-based businesses, academic institutions, financial, property management, pharma chemical and manufacturing to name a few. The network meets virtually on the first Thursday of every month for 1 hour. To sign up, please email annalise.payne@ibec.ie

Recruiters Networks

Audience: The Recruiters Network is for members who are involved in a recruitment role within their organisation.

Overview: The network is designed as a channel to share best practice with the agenda focusing on key issues that are relevant to recruiters. The format of meetings can vary from roundtable discussion to inviting a guest speaker to share their insights with the network. The group meets four times a year with meetings hosted virtually to ensure flexibility and suit the working requirements of the members. To sign up, please email annalise.payne@ibec.ie

Risk & Compliance Network

Audience: This network is for members with responsibility for assessing risk in their business. The network is open to CEO, CFO, COO, CRO, in-house legal or company secretaries to attend.

Overview: The group meet to discuss and learn from guest speakers on the areas of governance, risk, and compliance, covering topics such as creating risk management frameworks, implementing organisational governance and compliance structures across your organisation. The network meets three times per year and the format of the meeting is a combination of roundtable discussion, guest speakers and industry experts. To sign up, please email annalise.payne@ibec.ie

Sales, Marketing & CX Network

Audience: For members with responsibility for sales, marketing, and customer experience (CX) within their organisation.

Overview: This cross-sectoral network, established in 2024, explores all stages of the customer and account management lifecycle from acquisition to retention. The network meets quarterly with all sessions hosted virtually for convenience. Topics rotate between CX, sales and marketing led discussions. Recent meetings include a business growth topic with Wolfgang Digital and a commercial excellence topic with a senior manager at Koerber Pharma. Sign up to our Sales, Marketing & CX mailing list here

Supply Chain Network

Audience: For senior professionals working in supply chain, logistics, supply and demand planning, or trade roles across all industries.

Overview: This network brings together senior supply chain leaders from sectors including tech, food, MedTech, pharma-chemical, transport, and manufacturing. The group meets three times per year, including a site visit. Recent events include the launch conference for the Department of Transport’s Logistics & Supply Chain Skills Week and a site visit to Dixon Transport. Sign up to our Supply Chain mailing list here 

Specific Networks

In addition to the above cross sectoral networks, we also have networks for specific sectors of business and mailing lists for specific roles within the business. 

Health & Social Care Network

Audience: For members working in the health, social care, voluntary, and charity sectors.

Overview: This cross-sectoral network includes professionals from charities, health care, health screening, health product providers, social partnerships, support groups, and childcare services. The group meets virtually three times a year to ensure flexibility for our members. Recent meetings include an economic outlook and review of work permit updates. Hospitality OHS Mailing List

Audience: For those in the hospitality sector with responsibility for occupational safety and health.

Overview: Members meet virtually to receive practical updates, pose questions, and share experiences on H&S issues from guest speakers and Ibec in-house experts. Recent meetings included sessions from the Injuries Resolution Board on public liability claims, a discussion on safety culture in the workplace, a session on prevention of slips, trips and falls from the HSA and advice on how to best utilise your occupational health service. Sign up to our Hospitality OHS mailing list here

Sustainability Mailing List

Audience: For members with an interest in sustainability.

Overview: We will send a Sustainability Focus circular on a quarterly basis or more often should the need arise. The mailing list will provide updates on topics within the wider environmental, social and governance (ESG) space such as legislative updates, guidance and tool kits and upcoming briefings. Travel, Leisure and Hospitality Network

Audience: For members working in the wider tourism, travel, leisure, hospitality, entertainment, arts and culture sectors.

Overview: This networking and learning forum meets virtually to receive practical updates from guest speakers and Ibec in-house experts that are relevant to the industry. Topics covered at recent meetings include updates on changes to employment legislation such as postponement of maternity leave in cases of serious illness, employment permits and working time rules. Additionally, this mailing list is used as a channel to share legislative updates and requests to input to various Ibec submissions impacting the sector. Recent requests included a call for examples of regulatory burden/ excessive regulation on Travel, Leisure & Hospitality sectors and on the proposed changes by Irish Water to the Non-Domestic & Trade Effluent Tariffs.
