The report surveyed a wide range of financial services firms, capturing their insights as the sector delivers an increasing range of digital offerings to meet customer needs. Every firm in the industry is now a fintech firm.

The report includes a survey carried out by Amárach, which finds that business sentiment in financial services is very positive, with businesses optimistic about growing turnover and headcount over the next three years.

But it also shows that there are obstacles in place in Ireland, both for developing the next generation of financial services firms, and for longer-established firms in the industry who are digitalising their businesses.

The report sets out a number of key recommendations seeking to deliver increased availability of key skills and create an environment that is more conducive to the development of fintech start-ups.
