Engineering Industries Ireland (EII), the national representative body for Ireland’s engineering sector, launched Engineering the Future: Ireland’s Industrial Strategy 2026–2029. This sets out a bold vision to strengthen competitiveness, accelerate digital and green innovation, and build a resilient engineering base capable of powering and protecting Ireland’s economy for decades to come. The new strategy outlines how Ireland can leverage this strength to lead Europe in advanced manufacturing, renewable energy infrastructure, and next‑generation digital industry.
Engineering the Future: Ireland’s Industrial Strategy 2026–2029 was developed in collaboration with industry leaders and the Engineering Industries Ireland Board. It builds on significant progress made since EII’s establishment in 2021, reflecting the sector’s central role in driving innovation, supporting infrastructure delivery, and underpinning Ireland’s long-term economic resilience.
