Every business knows that Artificial intelligence (AI) tools can unlock many opportunities to augment our workplace and offer pathways to solve many economic and societal challenges. While progress is being made, more must be done in addressing gaps in our AI readiness.
Consequently, Ibec has developed an iterative guidance and the “Work Just Got Smarter” campaign with the aim of providing Irish businesses with information they need to start their journey with AI. This includes assisting compliance with the new EU AI Act that is being implemented in a phased basis to 2027. The Ibec AI Content Hub provides guidance, case studies on the use of AI in the workplace, sectoral reports, podcasts with thought leaders, our policy and advocacy documents and other resources on AI adoption and compliance.
Join us and start your AI journey, where we will delve into Ibec resources/guidance for business on AI; explain AI governance requirements; explore Human-Centred Design for AI adoption in HR; and discuss a structured approach to AI adoption projects. The agenda on the day aims to engage attendees and offer practical advice that can help businesses on their AI journey.
Contributors will include Erik O Donovan, Ibec’s Digital & AI Affair unit; Vicky O'Neill HR Strategy Specialist, Ibec; Jean Carberry, Assistant Secretary, Digital Division, Department of Enterprise, Tourism and Employment; and Laura Plunkett, EDIH Programme Manager, CeADAR, Ireland’s Centre for AI.
