Two important pieces of legislation, introduced before Christmas, have very significant implications for businesses – The Consumer Rights Act 2022 and new rules governing price promotions. The legislation provides enhanced rights for consumers across a range of areas including a strong 30-day right to cancel an order, more redress options and stronger rights around the delivery of goods. There are also important new rules about how retailers can promote price reductions.
To support members in implementing the new measures, Retail Ireland is hosting a special online member briefing with A&L Goodbody on Wednesday 22 February 11am-12pm with Dr Vincent Power, Partner, A&L Goodbody.
