Elaine has over twenty years experience working in the area of Environment Health and Safety- including five years working in Ibec's Employer Relations Division and now in Ibec Academy as a Senior Commercial EHS Executive. She has particular interests in the cross-over between OSH and the Human Resources function, as well as EHS Management Systems and Corporate Sustainability.

She holds an MSc in Applied Environmental Sciences, a BSc in Environmental Health, a H Dip in Occupational Safety & Health and a Diploma in Employment Law.

Patricia Murray
Patricia Murray Senior Work and Organisational Psychologist inspector, HSA

Patricia is the professional Senior Work and Organisational Psychologist inspector at the Health and Safety Authority (HSA). She directs and manages the national psychosocial Programme of Work. She designed, developed and leads the work-related stress and bullying portfolios and initiatives focused on increased employee well-being. She uses evidence-based behavioural science to inform targeted safety behavior change nationally across all industry sectors.

Patricia was the HSA nominee on the Govt. Task Force on Workplace Bullying Prevention and Govt. Expert Advisory Group. She has widely presented at national and international level: conferences, stakeholder meetings and research platforms on various aspects of workplace behavior and continues to provide expertise on behalf of the HSA, to various national and EU bodies.

Patricia gained a First Class Honour in Corporate Governance (2020, IPA) a PG Diploma in Data Analytics (2017, NCI) and a Masters in Psychoanalytic studies (2014, TCD) She is a Ministerial Appointee to the Advisory Board of the National Anti-Bullying Centre (ABC) at DCU and also lectures part-time in UCD, Trinity College and UCC.

Harry joined the Employment Law Services Unit from the employee relations team of a leading multinational medical device company. He is a graduate of NUI Galway, where he obtained Bachelor of Industrial Engineering and Bachelor of Laws degrees, and a master’s in law, Technology & Governance. Harry qualified as a solicitor in 2013 and worked extensively in private practice as a specialist employment law solicitor. Prior to qualifying as a solicitor Harry built up ten years industry experience working as an engineer across a variety of sectors and for a number of leading multinational companies and brings this considerable experience to bear in the management of complex workplace and organisational issues.

Dr. Jane Bourke is a Senior Lecturer in Economics at Cork University Business School, Founding Member of the Spatial and Regional Economics Research Centre at University College Cork, and a Senior Researcher at the Enterprise Research Centre, Warwick Business School. Her research interests include Innovation, Technology Adoption, Business Performance, and Health Economics. Jane’s research has been funded by the Irish Research Council, Science Foundation Ireland, Economic & Social Research Council (UK), among others. Her work is published in highly ranked journals such as Research Policy, Technovation, and Journal of Business Research.

Dr Martin Hogan Occupational Physician, Director of EHA Ltd

Dr Martin Hogan in a full time Occupational Physician since 1994 working full time in industry. He is a Director of EHA Ltd. and a founding Partner of Corporate Health Ireland (CHI) He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland and a Fellow of Faculty of Occupational Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland.

He is a specialist trainer and an examiner for the Faculty of Occupational Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland and a former National Speciality Director in Occupational Medicine. He is a past Dean of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. He is a Board Member for the International Commission of Occupational Health. He is the President of the Organising Committee for ICOH 2018 to be held in Dublin.

He is a member of the Board of Medichem which is the international scientific association for Occupational and Environmental Health in the production and use of chemicals. He has a special interest in Toxicology and Environmental Medicine. He lectures in Occupational Medicine and Toxicology in University College Cork.

Donal has been working and studying as a professional in the area of mental health and well-being for nearly 25 years. He leads the team at MHFA Ireland to who bring their evidence-based mental health training all over Ireland. Their aim is to create more supportive and informed communities and workplaces. An occasional contributor to digital, television and print media, often speaking publicly on mental health at conferences, schools, colleges and the corporate world and has guest lectured at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and University College Ireland. She further manages a team of highly experienced Psychologists and Wellbeing Consultants.
