Objective of the day
Any strategy for Ireland as a world leader in advanced manufacturing by 2030 will require clear direction as the global manufacturing sector is at a crossroads. The fast integration of AI and the convergence of this technology with robotics leads to new potential in advanced manufacturing. The workforce and skills needed to galvanise this future potential require strategic direction. Equally, global supply chains are adapting continuously to geopolitical changes and sustainability becomes a key to define manufacturing success.
We therefore invite you to address these challenges on May 11th and formulate the strategic pillars on Ibec’s Medtech & Engineering Manufacturing Strategy Day. We will deliver the outcomes in the form of a document to be delivered to the board, enabling Ireland to not only compete effectively in the global market but stand out as the global standard on advanced manufacturing.
The day will kick off with a panel breakfast, where industry leaders and strategic thinkers will set the tone for our future strategy after which we will break out into four workgroups, each focusing on a strategic pillar. Midway in the session we will switch the workgroups so each person can attend another workgroup and contribute to a strategic pillar of their choice. At the end of the day, we will share the outcomes in a plenary session. The outcomes will then be gathered and delivered to the board in the form of a presentation.
