Statutory paid sick leave will increase to 5 days from 1 January 2024
On 17 November, Minister of State for Business, Employment and Retail, Neale Richmond TD announced that entitlement to paid sick leave will increase from 3 to 5 days next year. This is in line with the government commitment to gradually increase the entitlement until 2026, when it will reach 10 days.
