Government announces plans to replace current minimum wage with a new 'living wage'

The Tánaiste Leo Varadkar, this month outlined his proposal to introduce a living wage for all employees by 2026. In a four-year process due to start next year, the living wage will replace the statutory national minimum wage. It will be calculated according to 60 percent of the median wage in a given year.

High Court rules Department should not have refused to grant Employment Permit to Stamp 4 holder

Update on entry visas and right to work in Ireland

Following a temporary suspension on the issuing of visas due to COVID-19, as of 20 May the INIS have added two additional categories of visas to the priority and emergency visas being processed. One such category includes those individuals who have been granted an employment permit and are travelling for essential business or employment purposes.
