Parent's Leave FAQ's
This year's Budget will provide for the extension of parent’s leave and will result in each parent receiving an additional three weeks state paid leave for children born after November 1st 2019. The leave under current rules must be taken within the first year of the child's life. In recognition of the Covid-19 disruption, the leave may be taken in the first two years of the child's life.
