Overview
The Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 defines intoxicants as “including drugs or alcohol or a combination of both and includes prescribed and non-prescribed drugs.
The misuse of intoxicants may impair the ability of an employee to perform their duties effectively and safely and may endanger their co-workers, the public and cause damage to company property.
