Technology Ireland Launches 34th Annual Industry Awards as Sector Drives Europe’s Digital Future
Technology Ireland, the Ibec group representing the country’s thriving tech sector, has officially opened entries for the Annual Technology Ireland Industry Awards.
Now in its 34th year, the Technology Ireland Industry Awards is one of the most prestigious events in the Irish technology calendar, celebrating companies and showcasing innovators leading change and setting the pace in tech. Applications are now open to Irish-based software and digital technology companies that have delivered standout achievements over the past year.
Speaking at the launch, Una Fitzpatrick, Director of Technology Ireland, said:
"We're delighted to kick off this year's Technology Ireland Industry Awards. Each year, the awards celebrate the incredible talent, innovation, and ambition within our sector. As Ireland holds the Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the critical role of our tech sector in driving Europe's digital transition, competitiveness, and economic resilience is clearer than ever. It's a fantastic opportunity to recognise the companies, both big and small, that are shaping the future of technology and strengthening Ireland's leadership on the European and global stage. We can't wait to see what the 2026 applications bring."
With 11 award categories, the programme recognises both indigenous and multinational tech companies contributing to Ireland’s dynamic digital economy. From indigenous Irish innovators breaking new ground to established players leading international growth, the Awards showcase how technology is transforming industries, communities, and lives.
Marie Treacy, Partner at platinum sponsor EY Ireland said:
“We are proud to continue our longstanding support of the Technology Ireland Awards and to sponsor the Digital Technology Company of the Year category. At a time when the pace of change can redefine markets and industries in a matter of months, these awards recognise the organisations that continue to innovate, adapt and lead. Ireland’s technology sector has consistently demonstrated its ability to embrace emerging technologies and compete on a global stage, helping to drive growth, competitiveness and digital innovation across our economy. EY is delighted to celebrate the companies and individuals pushing boundaries, solving complex challenges and setting new standards for innovation and excellence.”
The Awards are backed by a range of sponsors including EY Ireland, Fidelity Investments, IDA Ireland, OpenAI, Enterprise Ireland, FIT (the Tech Talent Pipeline), Technology Ireland ICT Skillnet and Technology Ireland Digital Skillnet.
