Aircraft Leasing Ireland welcomes today's publication of the updated Ireland for Finance strategy and the Government's continued recognition of the strategic importance of aircraft leasing to Ireland's economy
Ireland has built a world-leading aircraft leasing industry over several decades through a combination of expertise, innovation, a highly skilled workforce and a stable, supportive policy environment. Today, the sector supports more than 3,000 high-value jobs and contributes approximately €1 billion annually to the Irish economy, while playing a vital role in connecting global aviation markets.
The deepening engagement by the Department of Finance with the aviation finance sector, including through the refreshed governance structures, reflects the significance of the sector to Ireland and provides a valuable platform for ongoing engagement between Government and industry as we work together to support future growth.
We particularly welcome the commitment to ensuring Ireland remains an internationally competitive location for aircraft leasing. With many jurisdictions seeking to replicate Ireland's success, maintaining our international leadership will require continued focus on competitiveness, talent, innovation and a policy framework that gives companies the confidence to invest and grow here.
