Contracts for Difference

Ibec, in its pre-budget submission, has called on Government to introduce a competitive Contracts for Difference (CfD) scheme to drive major emissions reduction and resilience in Irish industry. The new Climate Action Contracts scheme would be modelled on those already in place in Germany and the Netherlands and help businesses bridge the price gap between fossil fuels and renewables.
