Need to move to easing National Covid restrictions

Dear member, 

This afternoon, I wrote to An Taoiseach to express the very serious and urgent concerns of business in relation to ongoing uncertainty around Covid restrictions on non-essential retail, hospitality, international travel and office-based environments. The blanket suppression of these sectors continues to lack any refinement despite learnings and evidence accumulated since last March.  This approach lacks empathy and is at this point in the crisis creating much greater economic and social damage than is necessary. 

I stressed how Government policy decisions and communications must immediately include prior and meaningful engagement with the businesses most impacted.  You can view a full copy of the letter attached and I will update you on follow up over the course of the week.
