Food Drink Ireland supporting #Food Heroes

Food Drink Ireland are participating in the #FoodHeroes campaign which has been set up by FoodDrinkEurope is to help recognise the amazing work the food and drink industry has been doing to keep the food supply chain running through the Covid-19 pandemic. #FoodHeros right across the industry are going over and beyond their duty of care to ensure that safe & nutritious food is available to all during these hard times.

The overall objective of the campaign is to recognise, acknowledge and thank all the workers across the supply chain for all the hard work they are doing. From the farmers, to the hauliers, to the processors, to the retailers and to the traders we want to thank them all. As part of the campaign Food Drink Ireland has been tweeting and retweeting about the campaign on our Twitter handle @fooddrink_irl and encouraging members to tell their stories. We have been retweeting member posts that use #FoodHeroes. We will also be supplying additional information or content from members to FoodDrinkEurope for inclusion in the campaign landing page. So far, we have had members such as Kepak and Kerry Taste&Nurition use the #FoodHeroes in acknowledging the great work their staff are doing.
