In recent days Retail Ireland has met senior ministers, including Minister for Finance Michael McGrath and Minister for Public Expenditure Paschal Donohoe, to discuss Budget 2024. Significant measures are needed to support businesses with the rollout of the living wage, pension auto enrolment, statutory sick pay and other leave entitlements. For many retail businesses, this will add over 20% to employment costs over the coming years. The budget will be announced on Tuesday 10 October. Our campaign will continue over the coming weeks.
