As employment legislation and regulatory requirements continue to evolve, organisations must get prepared for new employment rights obligations, and challenges, expected in 2027.
The upcoming seminar, "Navigating Employment Law into 2027: Are You Prepared?", equips employers with the knowledge and practical guidance needed to prepare themselves for the evolving legal and regulatory obligations.

The Seminar will provide an update on the Pay Transparency Directive, including the latest position on its transposition into national law and the expected amendments to gender pay gap reporting and equal pay obligations. We will also delve into the requirement to categorise employees according to those doing the same work or work of equal value, and the obligations transposition will bring for businesses.

Recent developments in dismissal case law will be examined, highlighting common pitfalls in probationary dismissals, circumstances where the one-year service requirement may not apply, the importance of fair procedures and fair and proportionate disciplinary sanctions. The challenges and opportunities presented by AI in employee relations will be discussed, with particular attention to disciplinary and grievance procedures, GDPR compliance, and fair process principles.

A review of the landmark cases of 2026 will provide practical insights, with a focus on the key takeaways and implications for employers. Frequently encountered challenges in managing protected disclosures will be discussed, addressing legal obligations, employee protections, and organisational risk.

The evolving distinction between employees and contractors will be explored through a review of recent case law, codes of practice, and the practical challenges facing employers. A hands-on case study will allow participants to apply the concepts discussed throughout the seminar and draw practical lessons for their own organisations.
Throughout the seminar, attendees will have opportunities to ask questions, share experiences, and engage directly with the expert panel on the topics that matter most to their organisation.

Full agenda and Speakers will be announced soon.
