Food Drink Ireland (FDI) is the main trade association for the food and drink industry in Ireland. It represents the interests of over 160 food, drink and non-food grocery manufacturers and suppliers.
Prepared Consumer Foods
The Prepared Consumer Foods (PCF) sector is made up of companies producing value-added food and beverages and selling domestically or internationally to grocery or convenience retail, food service or other food companies. The sector includes prepared consumer foods, ingredients, value-added seafood, value-added horticulture and non-alcoholic beverages. The Prepared Consumer Foods Directorate of Food Drink Ireland (FDI) is the leading representative body for companies in the PCF sector, delivering advocacy, information, advice and networking opportunities. It ensures that the key issues for the sector are recognised and understood by policy makers at national and EU level. The PCF Council meets on a quarterly basis to discuss the main challenges facing the sector. It is chaired by Kevin Donnelly, Managing Director of Britvic Ireland.
