It is a regrettable cliché, but we live in a changed world. With global pandemics, climate change and military aggression against Ukraine, we see unprecedented generational challenges to our economy and wellbeing. A core element in responding to these challenges involves technological change, how we interact with that change and with each other.

The pandemic accelerated the digital transition. Trusted digital and data innovation and international co-operation have proven critical to sustaining our economic and societal wellbeing throughout the pandemic and will be essential to our future success and resilience. The Russian invasion of Ukraine has further heightened the need to focus on safeguarding our digital environment and our resilience. However, securing that trust, success and resilience will depend on the cybersecurity choices that our policy, business, and technology leaders make today.
