Refusal to grant Domestic Violence Leave was not penalisation WRC rules
Domestic violence leave is a statutory entitlement, introduced under the Work Life Balance and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 2023. The leave entitlement came into effect on the 27 November 2023 and provides for up to five days of paid leave over a period of 12 months to employees affected by domestic violence.
