Start date for statutory sick leave pay remains uncertain
Government published its long awaited draft Sick Leave Bill 2021 in November last and launched a related consultation. Although originally anticipated that the requirement for employers to pay employees when they are sick would be mandatory from January 2022, this timeline proved overly ambitious in light of the operational detail yet to be addressed.
