Northern Irish Distillers Conference

October 10, 2025

This year’s Northern Irish Distillers Conference, held at CAFRE’s Loughry Campus in Co. Tyrone, in partnership with Invest NI, brought together producers, suppliers, and industry experts from across the region to share insights and strengthen collaboration within the spirits sector.

Key themes included the rebound of the UK on-trade market, rising consumer interest in premium and authentic spirits, and the growing role of tourism in promoting Northern Irish Spirits.

Aengus King, Director of Drinks Ireland | Spirits updated delegates on the deferral of health warning labels in the Republic of Ireland until September 2028, and that this pause in implementation is to be welcomed during a period of significant headwinds being faced by the spirits industry across the island of Ireland.

The conference also showcased cutting-edge technologies from Europe’s DrinkTec Exhibition and highlighted sustainability initiatives like BCorp certification and energy efficiency support. With a strong focus on innovation, collaboration, and market growth, the event reinforced the sector’s potential both locally and internationally.
