Food Drink Ireland launches industry led resource to support Ireland’s world-class food safety standards
Food Drink Ireland (FDI), the Ibec group representing the food and drink sector, has launched a new Food Safety Incident Management Guide to help Irish food business operators continue to protect, maintain, and champion the country’s world-class food safety standards.
The manufacturer-focused guide provides food businesses with a practical toolkit to navigate planning, perform structured risk assessments, and make swift decisions with confidence. Available to both Food Drink Ireland member companies and non-members, the resource reinforces that modern food safety is a critical driver of business resilience requiring cross-functional collaboration across operations, finance, legal, commercial, and communications teams.
Designed as an additional resource to complement established regulatory frameworks, the guide offers structured, step-by-step guidance covering proactive prevention, rapid early-stage response, and continuous improvement.
