Telecommunications Industry Ireland (TII) engages regularly with our key stakeholders including the Minister and Department for Arts, Media, Communications, Culture and Sport, the Minister and Department for Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht, the ComReg Commissioners, the Data Protection Commission, the Department of Justice, Home Affairs and Migration, the Department of Finance, the Department of Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation, the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage, the Department of Transport, DG CONNECT, Dublin City Council, An Garda Síochána, the local authorities, the Local Government Management Agency, the National Cyber Security Centre, the Road Management Office (R.M.O.), the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer, the OPW, Samaritans Ireland, the Ukrainian Embassy and others.

The Telecommunications Industry Ireland Annual Lunch took place on 22 November 2024 in the College Green Hotel, Dublin 2 and the guest speaker was Oonagh Buckley, Secretary General of the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications.

Telecommunications Industry Ireland members participated in the Ibec Anti-fraud Forum on 7 March 2025 involving financial services, small business, tech and telecoms sectors.

Telecommunications Industry Ireland represented the industry at the ESRI conference on telecoms on 23 October 2024.

Telecommunications Industry Ireland discussed the digital agenda with Minister Dara Cleary at the Digital Ireland Conference in Dublin Castle on 18 April 2024.

On 24 March 2025 TII met Mick Moran, CEO, hotline.ie. Along with many of our members, we are proud to support their important work in combating illegal online content.

Patrick Neary, Assistant Secretary, Telecommunications and Digital Connectivity, Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications addressed TII Council on 22 November 2024.

Telecommunications Industry Ireland represented the industry at the ComReg Strategy Seminar on 15 October 2024.

On 19 December 2023 Telecommunications Industry Ireland outlined to Minster Peter Burke and the audience how the telecoms sector combats fraud on RTÉ "Upfront with Katie Hannon".

TII met with Patrick O'Donovan, Minster for Arts, Media, Communications, Culture and Sport on 14 February 2025 to discuss how the learnings from storm Éowyn are applied by both industry and government.

On 16 May and 7 November 2024 Telecommunications Industry Ireland led the industry delegation at the Mobile Phone and Broadband Taskforce, chaired by the Minister for Communications.

In Ibec on 13 March and 17 June 2024. Richard Brown, Director, NCSC gave a briefing on the implementation of the Directive on Security of Network and Information Systems ('NIS2').

Telecommunications Industry Ireland engages regularly with the European Parliament, including Barry Andrews MEP, who participates on the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy.

Telecommunications Industry Ireland delegations met Ireland's Telecommunications Attaché to the EU to discuss telecoms policy on 20 March and 25 September 2024. and on 20 March 2025

The TII delegation engaged with numerous MEPs, Commission officials and other key stakeholders at the annual Ibec St. Patrick's reception in the European Parliament on 20 March 2025.

Telecommunications Industry Ireland members attended the launch of Ibec's EU Policy Priorities on 25 September 2024 with Commissioner Michael McGrath, MEPs and EU Commission officials.

TII recommended simplification of telecoms regulation at a D9+ event with DG CONNECT and the Polish Presidency in the European Parliament on 20 March 2025 hosted by Michael McNamara MEP.

On 8 Feb 2024 Telecommunications Industry Ireland hosted a meeting between DG CONNECT and the telecommunications network operators to discuss the EU’s Digital Decade.
