Meat Industry Ireland (MII) is the Ibec sector association which represents the primary beef, pork and lamb processing facilities located in the Republic of Ireland. MII also provides support to Food Drink Ireland (FDI) in its representation of the primary poultry processing sector.

MII promotes the interests of its members and the Irish primary meat processing sector by interfacing on behalf of its members with government departments, state agencies, European institutions, and other stakeholders across the sector.

Service to Members

MII provides a wide variety of services for its members including policy development and advocacy, and up-to-date information on all technical, legislative developments and policy changes that may affect the meat industry.

With the active participation and support of our members we cultivate our work programme through regular interaction via committee and working group meetings, thematic events, webinars, and industry related campaigns. We also provide support to our members in the operation of their enterprises where appropriate along with providing information relating to the sector and briefing positions on issues of relevance to the meat industry in Ireland.

Our Members

MII members account for the majority of primary beef, sheepmeat, and pigmeat production in Ireland. Our members operate world-class processing facilities throughout the country. Their processing facilities, in addition to operating under the supervision of the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, also hold many independent third-party quality accreditations as well as having secured approvals from a wide range of competent authorities across the globe. Our primary processing (beef, pigmeat and sheepmeat) members include:
