What is a Manufacturing Engineering Apprenticeship?

Manufacturing Engineering Apprenticeships are ‘earn and learn’ programmes which combine work-based learning with academic study.

These apprenticeships include:
-Level 6, Manufacturing Technician (2 Years)
-Level 7, Manufacturing Engineer (3 Years)
-Level 8, Advanced Manufacturing Engineer (4 Years)

Apprentice will learn the skills, knowledge and behaviours necessary for a successful career in manufacturing and beyond. These apprenticeships are currently delivered in ATU Galway, ATU Sligo, MTU Cork, TUS Midwest and Dundalk IT.

What you need to know

You will be awarded a Level 6, 7 or 8 qualification

You will study through a blend of lectures, quizzes, discussions, projects and process studies. You will also learn on the job with a company

To get involved, you must source an employer who will sponsor you for the duration of the apprenticeship

An annual apprentice registration fee of €2,000 applies
