Danny McCoy CEO of Ibec

Danny McCoy is Chief Executive Officer of Ibec since 2009. Ibec is Ireland’s largest business representative organisation and the country’s largest lobbying group. It has 285 staff in ten locations and has 39 sectoral brands with substantial presence within the European Union through Ibec’s Brussels office. He is a member of the Irish Tripartite Labour Employer Economic Forum (LEEF).

He is a Member of the Royal Irish Academy, a Knight of the Order of the Star of Italy, Honorary Fellow of the Irish Academy of Engineers, Adjunct Professor Trinity College Dublin Business School and Vice President of the Statistical & Social Inquiry Society of Ireland and Independent Non-Executive Director of Iput Real Estate.

He has held lecturing posts at University College London, University of Oxford, Trinity College Dublin and Dublin City University. He has been senior economist at the Central Bank of Ireland and the Economic & Social Research Institute as well as being a consultant to the European Commission and the Organisation for Economic.

Prior to joining Diageo, Catherine’s career has covered brand experiences, events, business tourism, culture, live music, food and hospitality spanning three continents, including eight years in China. Career highlights include overseeing the build, design, food and hospitality for elite athletes at multiple Summer Olympic Games.

Frances Fitzgerald
Frances Fitzgerald Member of the European Parliament

Frances Fitzgerald is an MEP for Dublin City and County and a Vice-President of the EPP Group in the European Parliament.

Prior to her election to the European Parliament in 2019, Frances served as a Fine Gael Parliamentarian for over 20 years. She served as a Senator and T.D. in Dublin Mid-West (2007-2019) and has previously served as a Fine Gael T.D. in Dublin South East (1992-2002).

She most recently served as Tánaiste (2016-17), one of only four women to have to have ever held this position. She has also served as Minister for Business, Enterprise & Innovation (2017); Minister for Justice & Equality (2014-17) and was the State's first Minister for Children & Youth Affairs (2011-14).

Prior to her election to the Dáil, Frances was elected to the European Parliament in 2019 as part of the European People's Party (EPP) Delegation. She is a full member of the Women's Rights and Gender Equality Committee (FEMM) and the Development Committee (DEVE). Frances also serves as EPP spokesperson for the Women's Rights and Gender Equality Committee.

A business leader with 25 years’ international experience in commercial roles in FMCG and Consumer Healthcare, Mandy is responsible for the full Unilever Ireland business across Beauty & Personal Care, Home Care, Nutrition/Foods and Ice Cream and sits on the UK and Ireland Board.

Prior to Unilever, Mandy spent more than 10 years in GSK Consumer Healthcare (now Haleon) in senior regional and global marketing and commercial and roles as well as general management in the UK, US and Portugal as well as Ireland. In addition, Mandy has also spent several years in food manufacturing in Ireland in commercial roles in Kepak and Glanbia and is a graduate of International Marketing and Languages from Dublin City University.

Mandy is a passionate leader who loves what she does and enjoys inspiring teams to bring out the best in themselves and relishes a challenge. She embraces change and strives for simplicity and the positives in every situation.

Mandy is married with 2 teenage children and enjoys traveling and exploring new places, sport and music.

Rossa Fanning SC
Rossa Fanning SC Attorney General of Ireland

Rossa Fanning SC was appointed as Attorney General of Ireland on 17 December 2022. Prior to his appointment, he was a Senior Counsel at the Irish Bar with a varied caseload spanning commercial law, judicial review, defamation and privacy law. He was called to the Irish Bar in 1999 and became a Senior Counsel in 2016.

He is a CEDR Accredited Mediator and was admitted to the Bar of Northern Ireland in 2019. He was awarded BCL and LLM degrees from University College Dublin and holds an LLM from the University of Michigan. He is a bencher and ex officio Council Member of the Honorable Society of King’s Inns, a Member of the General Council of the Bar of Ireland, a Vice-President of the Irish Centre for European Law and a Full Adjunct Professor at the UCD Sutherland School of Law.
