In a year marked by local, European, and possibly national elections, the purpose of this Summit is to bring Ibec’s CEO members together in an informal and supportive space to discuss concerns around social, environmental, and economic challenges and their impact on Irish business.

This year’s summit will tackle the topics that are dominating boardroom discussions as well as policy making.  Ireland is doing well economically. We are growing and at full employment, but there are challenges associated with this economic growth. Increasing social tensions triggered by immigration policy, inadequate social & housing infrastructure and issues with law & order have enabled fringe far-right groups to seize an ‘Ireland is full’ narrative. While many businesses are directly affected by these developments, it also creates a perception that is counter to our nation’s reputation as a great country to live, work and invest in. In addition, other disruptive forces including the advance of AI, climate change, and the cost of doing business in Ireland is challenging our nation's competitiveness, social cohesion, and quality of life.

This summit gives a space for considered leadership to deal with these themes and examine fully the business stake in all these dimensions.

Following on from the success from 2023, this year's Summit will be held over two days in the K Club, Kildare on 7 and 8 of March 2024. The 2-day Summit features an evening gala dinner, robust table and panel discussions and informal networking over breakfast and lunch.
