This category is open to academic collaborations with both Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) & Irish-owned / indigenous companies.

This Outstanding Academic Achievement in the field of Digital Technology Award, recognises an academic institution, academic department or individual for outstanding contribution to the software sector.

Each institution should submit no more than two application forms. Each application form should be signed by the President / Head of the Institution / Head of Department.

A short-list will be drawn up and successful short-listed institutions / departments / individuals will be called for interview. On the basis of the interview and application form, the Adjudication Panel will decide the winner.

AWARD CRITERIA

The Institution / Individual should show evidence of the following points:

• Level of innovation demonstrated
• Demonstration of engagement with industry on direction of research / possible commercial viability /actual commercial application

By way of sharing of best practice, your company should be prepared to share mutually agreeable elements of this application with the broader technology sector in Ireland in the form of a case study.
