EU regulations on green transition come into force in September
The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) has information for businesses on the new EU (ECGT) Regulations which come into force on 27 September 2026.
These regulations are part of a wider EU initiative to strengthen consumer protections against false or unverified environmental and product durability claims and help consumers make informed and sustainable purchasing decisions. The guidance includes information about the EU Harmonised Notice which must be displayed by businesses involved in retail, both instore and online from 27 September 2026.
