Oireachtas Committee on Enterprise, Tourism & Employment

After some delays, the Oireachtas Committee on Enterprise, Tourism & Employment has been established. The purpose of the committee is to essentially shadow the Department of Enterprise, Tourism & Employment and provide a meaningful input into legislation and policy. This is the most significant committee for the business community as it also informs debate related to job creation, enterprise and innovation. The Cathaoirleach of the committee is James O'Connor, TD (Fianna Fáil). The other TDs on the committee are as follows:

  • Brian Brennan (Fine Gael)
  • John Clendennen (Fine Gael)
  • Rose Conway-Walsh (Sinn Féin)
  • Albert Dolan (Fianna Fáil)
  • Paul Donnelly (Sinn Féin)
  • Paul Gogarty (Independent)
  • George Lawlor (Labour Party)
  • Tony McCormack (Fianna Fáil)

When the committee expands to a Joint Oireachtas Committee, the following Senators are included:

  • Ollie Crowe (Fianna Fáil)
  • Mary Fitzpatrick (Fianna Fáil)
  • Aubrey McCarthy (Independent)
  • Conor Murphy (Sinn Féin)
  • Linda Nelson Murray (Fine Gael)
