Mike McGrath is CEO and co-founder at Kwayga.com, which is the fastest grocery supplier sourcing platform in Europe. Last week Kwayga.com has successfully closed a funding round, with a €1 million investment in the company, led by The Redesdale Food & Beverage Fund.
Cork-headquartered Kwayga.com enables supermarket buyers to cut their sourcing times by 40% using its game-changing supplier sourcing technology, achieving in minutes what previously took months. Mike has 15 years’ experience in sourcing and procurement so has been reducing costs and risks for businesses since the global recession of 2018. Prior to Kwayga, Mike was Managing Director of Arvo Procurement since he founded the company in 2013. In 2012, Mike was appointed by the European Commission to the e-tendering Expert Group (eTEG), which defined a blueprint for public procurement within the EU and previously founded the eSourcing platform supply.ie.
John McGeown is an experienced financial services professional with diverse skillset and demonstrated track record of high achievement. Highly skilled in Financial Analysis, Credit Assessment, Business Development and internal/external relationship management, he started his career in audit before moving to AIB to work in a number of commercial lending positions. He is Sector Head in AIB Capital Markets with responsibility for the non-food manufacturing industry, where he is responsible for the drafting/presentation of independent sector reports to senior credit committees which opine on the merits of individual funding requests, industry stakeholder engagement which includes external presentations and the publication of external reports, development and implementation of a range of enterprise wide strategic initiatives in the sustainability space, among others.
