National Enterprise Strategy Consultation

September 08, 2026

The Government has launched a public consultation for its long-awaited National Enterprise Strategy 2035. The strategy is for long-term industrial policy, economic growth, and job creation for the decade through 2035. Developed by the Department of Enterprise, Tourism and Employment (DETE) to supersede the White Paper on Enterprise 2022–2030, it adapts Ireland’s enterprise model to evolving global trade patterns, rapid technological shifts, and net-zero requirements.

The SFA will be making its own submission on behalf of small business owners. If you have any thoughts on the strategy, please pass them onto Jonathna McDade at the jonathan.mcdade@sfa.ie.

However, if you would like to make a submission on behalf of your own business you can do so by accessing the following link: Public Consultation on the development of Enterprise 2035 - Ireland's enterprise strategy. If you wish to send a longer submission than the Form allows, please forward it to the Enterprise Strategy Unit at ESU@enterprise.gov.ie.

The closing date for submissions is 5pm on Friday, 18 September 2026.

If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to Jonathan McDade at jonathan.mcdade@sfa.ie
