SFA Publishes Election Manifesto

November 19, 2024

Last week, the SFA published its General Election manifesto which can be found here. The key requests in the manifesto were the development of a long-term roadmap for small businesses, a PRSI rebate for small businesses and for a fairer tax system. The manifesto received some national and regional print, broadcast and online coverage. The manifesto was circulated to around 600 General Election candidates which resulted in encouraging engagements between candidates and the SFA.

The SFA circulated the manifesto and a toolkit to the SFA members. The toolkit gives practical advice to SFA members on how to best engage with General Election candidates. The SFA hosted a webinar detailing the content of the toolkit which was recorded and circulated to members.

Fine Gael and Sinn Féin have already made a commitment introducing a PRSI rebate for small businesses while Fianna Fáil committed to reduce the rate of employers’ PRSI on minimum wage workers by 1.5%. Labour said it will implement an action plan to reduce electricity prices for small businesses.
