Safeguarding our cybersecurity

The Department of Environment Climate & Communications (DECC) is carrying out a mid-term review (MTR) of the National Cybersecurity Strategy (NCSS) and are interested in the views of SFA and Ibec membership.

SFA and Ibec have arranged a webinar with DECC and the National Cybersecurity Centre (NCSC). The webinar is scheduled to take place on Friday the 3rd of February, from 10:00-12:00 GMT. This will not be a recorded event.

The webinar will include an introduction to the Mid-Term Review and the consultation process; a presentation from the NCSC on the cyber threat landscape and emerging trends; and an overview of the progress achieved to date on the National Cyber Security Strategy. Most importantly the webinar will provide participants an opportunity to directly contribute to the review process on Friday.

SFA/Ibec is also preparing a submission to the consultation for Thursday, February 2. Members interested in contributing to the submission are encouraged to send written views on the National Cybersecurity Strategy to erik.odonovan@ibec.ie.
