Mobile Operating Systems
The Cvent Events app requires iOS 17 and higher or Android 13 and higher. Kindle Fire and other devices that use the Amazon App Store are not supported.
Download the App
To access your event’s app, click the “Open the App” button that appears in the mobile app invitation email you were sent. It is recommended to open this email on your mobile device. Do not forward this email to others as the button or link is unique to you.
This button will take you to your device’s app store where you’ll be prompted to download the Cvent Events app.
NOTE: If you click the "Open the App" button on a desktop, this will open a browser page with a QR code for the app. Using your mobile device's camera, scan the QR code. You will need to follow steps 1, 2 and 3 below.
Can’t find your login email? You might have opted out from receiving event related communications. If that’s the case, please find the Cvent app here. Follow the steps below:
- Download the app.On the device you're bringing to the event, access the App Store or Google Play Store and search for the "Cvent Events" app or the custom app for your event. Once you've found the app, download it.
- Search for the event.Return to your device's home screen and open the app. Enter the event name ‘Business Connect 2026’ in the search bar.
- Download the event.Tap the icon to download the event.
Logging In
Once downloaded, open the app. If you used the link in the email, the app should open to your event. If not, you can search the name of the event (Business Connect 2026) to find the event.
After the app has finished downloading, click Open. You'll be logged in and taken to the event's Home page. You will be prompted to accept the custom terms.
In case you are clicking the link from an email sent over 24h before, you will be prompted to log in before downloading the event to the app. After entering your first name, last name, and email address, a verification code will be sent to your email.
Troubleshooting Log In
- Ensure you are entering the same email you registered with for the event. If you haven’t registered, you won’t have access to the event app.
- Check spam and junk folders for the verification code email.
- The email or text should be triggered in less than a minute.
- If you still do not receive the verification code, contact the planner (ludescher@sfa.ie or Ashling.reynolds@ibec.ie).
If you do need to log in again, you will be sent a new verification code to enter.
Setting up your profile

Why is my profile not visible for other attendees?
For GDPR reasons, everyone's profile is set as hidden by default. To make yourself visible for other attendees, please follow these steps:
- On the app homepage, please click on the quick line 'My profile'.
- Click on the 'engine' symbol on the top right-hand corner of your screen.
- Select 'Privacy'
- Click the toggle to change your profile visibility.
Once you are visible, you can contact and be contacted by other attendees at Business Connect.
Visiting a Virtual Exhibitor Booth from the Event App
- Log in to the Event App.
- Access the exhibitor's virtual booth. From the bottom navigation bar, tap the Exhibitor The organisations will be shown in alphabetical order. Then tap on an exhibitor's name to view their virtual booth.
- Navigate the booth.Once in the virtual booth, you can message the exhibitor and view exhibitor information and files.
To view the Event staff's profile, scroll down to the bottom of the booth, and tap their name. You can invite exhibitor’s staff personnel available for appointments via your ‘My Schedule’ section.
NOTE: if you wish to talk to an Organisation exhibiting at Business Connect, we recommend that you drop by their stand. They won’t have immediate visibility to your message sent via the ‘Contact us’ button on the app.
Managing Appointments in the Attendee Hub
During an event, meeting the right people at the right time makes all the difference. Follow these steps to schedule appointments with other attendees or exhibitors on the Event App.
- Log in to the Event App.
- Schedule an appointment from your My Schedule page. From the bottom navigation bar, tap the Calendar icon. Tap the My Schedule at the top, if necessary. Then, tap the in the bottom right icon of a calendar with a + to create a new appointment.
- Or, schedule an appointment from your My Event page. From the bottom navigation bar, tap the Profile icon, then Appointment Requests or Appointments. Tap the icon in the top-right (calendar with a +) to create a new appointment.
- You can also submit an appointment request by clicking another attendee’s profile and taping the calendar icon with a + underneath the attendee's photo.
- Enter the details for an appointment with other attendees. Select an appointment type, if necessary.
- Use the search box at the top to find attendees to add to the appointment. Tap their name to include them in the invitation.
- Give your appointment a subject. Then, add a message, upload resources, enter a private note and determine who can view the private note, if necessary. Once you're done adding the details, click Book appointment.
- Next, pick a time for your appointment on the 5th of February. The next available times appear automatically. If you want to pick a different time slot, click View all times, then select the time you'd like to book.
- Give your appointment a subject and a location at the event premises. Then, add a message, upload resources, enter a private note and determine who can view the private note, if necessary. Once you're done adding the details, tap Book appointment.
A request will be sent to them to accept or reject your invite.
All appointments are in-person and will be taking place at the event. We have a designated area close to the event’s reception desk that you will be able to sit down. You can find it on the floor plan as ‘Meeting area’.
Accept or decline appointment invitations.
Tap the Profile icon then Appointment Requests or Appointments. Your incoming appointment requests will appear here. Tap the appointment and then tap Accept or Decline to change the appointment status.
Message or Connect with other attendees
You can chat to other attendees using the ‘Message’ button directly on the Business Connect app. See here for more: Sending Messages
You can send Connection requests to other visible attendees at Business Connect. The attendees you connect with will be carried through any other events you both attend that is using the same system. That way you can immediately know if a familiar face will be at your next event! See here for more details: Adding Connections
Event Surveys
Surveys will be available at the end of each session and close to the end of the event on the 5th of February. You will receive a notification (when those are enabled on your app) to let you know when they’re made available. Your feedback is essential, and you never know, maybe you will get a free ticket to Business Connect next year if you answer!
