Update on Employment Permit Salary Thresholds
The Department of Enterprise’s Roadmap for Minimum Annual Remuneration (MAR) introduced phased salary increases for employment permit holders. These increases started on the 1st of March 2026 and apply to any new or renewal applications for employment permits. It is important that small business owners who employ non-EEA nationals should understand these changes and factor them into future payroll and recruitment planning.
